美來路Hongseong

This is the one and only island near Hongseong where people have actually settled. It was given its name Jukdo because of the bamboo trees that grow around the island. Located within the Cheonsuman Bay, the small yet beautiful island is known for its scenic landscape.

The sea waters surrounded by the island are gentle like a lake and are crystal clear. Fresh seafood is available around the year, and it can be enjoyed upon sunrise. Also, you can experience tidal flats and enjoy sea fishing here. It is located about 3.7km in front of the Port of Namdang, and it takes about 15 min by a boat to get there. There are 8 small islands that are found close together, and at low tide, you can actually walk and tour the area.
